Job Description
The Manager - Mining Engineering will be responsible for all aspects of improving mine development from exploration and technical reporting to operations and closure planning. The manager will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary professionals to manage engineering projects. Additionally, the lead engineer will play a pivotal role in mentoring other engineers, project management, and conducting business development activities (e.g., identifying new opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and contributing to the long-term growth and sustainability of the organization). Domestic and International travel may be required for visits to client mine sites or for client and corporate meetings.
The ideal candidate will lead our Reno mining program for mining companies and help manage a team of engineers and geologists, manage multiple projects and business development initiatives concurrently. Additional responsibilities include:

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise; typical salary range for this position is $150k-$180k. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in geology, mining, geological, or civil engineering; an advanced degree in business administration is helpful
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in hard-rock metallic mining, and/or consulting industries
- A registered professional engineer/professional geologist license or ability to obtain upon hire
- At least 5 years of project management experience
- Leadership and team management experience
- Technical report writing experience
- Resource and Reserve experience under US SEC S-K 1300 and/or Canadian National Instrument 43-101 regulation
- Cash flow analysis or financial modeling experience
- Extensive experience in commercial mining engineering software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan, Whittle, Minesched, and GIS) and proficiency in programming skills (e.g., TCL, Lisp, Visual Basic, and other programming languages) are also preferred.
