Position Summary
The Director of Expense Control and Reporting in Enterprise Procurement will play a critical leadership role in managing and optimizing enterprise expense-related financial operations. This position will focus on developing and implementing expense control strategies, reporting mechanisms, and financial analysis frameworks to drive cost efficiency, transparency, and compliance across the global procurement organization. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, supply chain, and category management, to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and effective financial oversight of enterprise procurement activities. Key responsibilities of the role

Expense Control
  • Design and implement reporting and monitoring processes for expense controls throughout the CVS Health Enterprise.
  • Develop and implement expense reporting and dashboards to provide actionable insights, fostering data-driven decision-making at all levels.
  • Establish and enforce new expense controls in areas where insufficient controls exist
  • Analyze controls and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve risks identified through implementation of increased controls and/or monitoring.
  • Partner with finance and procurement teams to establish budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track performance against cost-reduction targets.
  • Harness advanced data analytics to identify opportunities for expense management improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement cost management through technology, process optimization, and strategic initiatives.


Financial Planning and Forecasting
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting of procurement spend and savings.
  • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities related to procurement opportunities in conjunction with the business units


Compliance and Risk Management
  • Manage audit processes related to enterprise expenses, ensuring accuracy and transparency in reporting.
  • Implement risk management strategies to minimize financial exposure from procurement activities.


In order to be successful in this role you must exhibit the following:

-Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

-Familiarity with global financial regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in financial planning, reporting, or expense management with:
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, expense management, and cost control strategies.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • The ability to travel up top 5%


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of driving process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities.
  • MBA, Masters, or relevant certification preferred


Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required or equivalent years of relevant experience.


Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
