- Accessibility Assessment and Evaluation Techniques; Accessibility; Accessibility Assessment using Assistive Technology; Web Application Accessibility Standardization and W3C WAI; Access.
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accessibility Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of accessibility standards, processes, tools, and best practices. They will be responsible for ensuring that our customers' products and services are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
- This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Global Collaboration: Connect and collaborate with global teams to ensure accessibility standards are met across all regions.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to teams on accessibility guidelines and tools. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG, ADA, and other relevant regulations.
- Accessibility Audits: Conduct accessibility audits and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- User Testing: Facilitate user testing with individuals with disabilities to gather feedback and improve accessibility.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation on accessibility best practices, guidelines, and standards.
- Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest accessibility technologies and trends, and integrate them into our products and services.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accessibility, usability, or a related field.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, etc.) and assistive technologies. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex accessibility concepts to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, CPWA) are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
- Project Management: Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- User Research: Experience conducting user research and usability testing with individuals with disabilities. Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work with diverse cultures and understand regional accessibility needs.
