Job Summary:
In this role you will lead and supervise a team responsible for executing Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Design Verification Plan and Reporting (DVP&R) virtual validation activities, along with executing analyses. You will provide technical leadership and insight in design and analysis of our off-road vehicles. Collaboration with cross-function team members throughout engineering will be key to success in engaging stakeholders, program managers, vehicle architects, and subsystem leads to deliver our products. This role will be based out of the Polaris Product Development Center in Wyoming, MN.

The pay range for Minnesota is $115,000 to $150,900 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

This role will be based out of the Polaris Product Development Center in Wyoming, MN.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Development: Supervise the CAE Execution team development efforts and manage project execution.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between CAE Execution team and business unit stakeholders. Ensure alignment of CAE activities with overall program and business goals. Active collaboration with Physical Test and Validation team to ensure CAE correlation and virtual validation process development.
- Budget Management: Manage the labor demand and team capacity to deliver active programs.
- Best Practices and Continuous Improvement: Work with Analysis Methods team to establish engineering best practices, including process adherence and tool usage. Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and methods to enhance performance and efficiency of our team.
- Team Member Growth & Development: Partner with Talent Acquisition and CAE Management team to develop team members and foster a positive team culture.
- Software Vendor and Tool Management: Support evaluation and selection of CAE software tools, ensuring they align with business needs and technical requirements.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required, advanced degree preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in product development with CAE tools in a highly collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership of multisite global engineering teams.
- Skilled with CAE Software Suites like Ansys, Altair HyperWorks, MSC Hexagon, 1D Tools required.
- Team player, with the ability to work with several design teams concurrently and across multiple sites. Communicate across global cross-functional design teams.
- Experience with phase gate product development process highly recommended.
- Strong overall knowledge of the vehicle development process, including experimental correlation and product validation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with data-based decision-making.
- Clear communication, interpersonal, and negotiating skills.
- Passion to set and meet high performance standards.
