Sales Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting Account Executives in a pre-sales capacity. The ideal Sales Engineer will work onsite in Washington, D.C. area and travel to federal customer sites to present Proof of Concepts, and contribute to the design, planning, implementation, and training of networking architecture.

Responsibilities for the Sales Engineer:

• Contribute to design, planning, and implementation of secure network solutions.
• Provide consultative support for pre-sales, partners, and customers on networking solutions.
• Present at seminars, trade shows and manage internal demonstration facilities.
• Prepare and deliver customer presentations to all management levels.

Qualifications for the Sales Engineer:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in networking technologies.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance
• Expertise in security design and analysis, with hands-on experience using security-related tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, technical presentation, and communication skills.
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are a plus.

Compensation/Benefits for the Sales Engineer:

• Salary range: $120,000 - 150,000 base salary annually
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays.
