Power BI Developer

Piper Enterprise Solutions is looking for a Power BI Developer who will be involved with crafting, deploying, and sustaining robust data architecture solutions, with a particular focus on Power BI , cloud migrations, modern data frameworks, and data lakes. This role is hybrid (1x/week) located in Reston, VA.

Requirements of the Power BI Developer:

• Develop and maintain contemporary data architectures, including data lakes and pipelines.
• Oversee the transition of on-premises data systems to cloud-based environments.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver Power BI solutions that fulfill business needs.
• Enhance data models, schemas, and database performance for scalability and efficiency.
• Enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across all platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve complex database issues to minimize downtime.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, data engineering, and business intelligence.

Qualifications of the Power BI Developer:

• 7+ years of professional experience in database engineering, data architecture, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard and visualization design.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Experience in migrating on-premises systems to the cloud and modernizing legacy systems.
• Knowledge of data lake frameworks and ETL/ELT processes.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and other modern data warehousing solutions.
• Experience in the financial services sector is a significant plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation of the Power BI Developer:

• Salary range: $130,000-$150,000 *based on experience*
