Job Description

The Video Clinical Specialist, in partnership with sales, will be involved in the market development and installation of Endoscopy products within their geography. The Video Clinical Specialist will help support strategic and large-scale evaluations and installations to aid in the smooth transition to Olympus technologies. This role combines multiple functional attributes such as sales, marketing, clinical knowledge, product and procedural knowledge, leadership capabilities and strong communication skills. The role will report into a Regional Vice President of Sales, Endoscopy.

Job Duties

  • Support strategic and large-scale evaluations, conversions / installations, various Marketing activities & initiatives.
  • Attend training events and product development activities.
  • Serve as a product specialist to drive adoption of endoscopy technologies as well as the safe and effective use of same.
  • Develop and support HCP relationships and help to identify where Olympus requires HCP expertise to support the business. This will be accomplished while adhering to our code of ethics and compliance guidelines.
  • Provide skills and resources to enable the sales team to competently influence healthcare professionals and other champions on the purchase of our offerings.
  • Secure business intelligence to provide input and feedback to Marketing for key growth areas.
  • Work in collaboration with marketing to provide input into the competitive strategy and determine how best to compete with existing products and technologies.
  • Work with product Marketing and Professional Education to define HCP needs for the safe and effective use of Olympus equipment.
  • Proactively stay informed of relevant clinical studies, papers and other pertinent information and provides updates to product marketing when necessary.
  • Provide the sales organization with educational support, resources, and guidance on endoscopy technologies.
  • Complete and submits all administrative responsibilities accurately and on time (expense reports, PTO, etc.).
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned


Job Qualifications

Required:
  • BA/BS or proper relevant on-the job experience may be considered a substitute for minimal educational requirement.
  • Proven ability to showcase product technologies and communicate value to the customer.
  • Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with cross-functional team.
  • Ability to understand, support and teach technical concepts, products, and services.
  • 80% travel required by plane and/or car (4 field days, 1 office/administrative day).
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and tradeshows; some international travel may be required.


Preferred:
  • Minimum of 1-4 years of healthcare sales marketing and /or clinical experience within a hospital operating room environment preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $85,266.00 - $115,109.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
