This role will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and will oversee financial operations, regulatory compliance, and process improvements across our global business, with a particular emphasis on India, APAC, and other key international markets. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of finance and accounting experience, strong Oracle ERP expertise, and a demonstrated ability to lead global finance teams, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and driving operational efficiencies through process enhancement and automation.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our global finance team. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of finance and accounting experience, strong Oracle ERP expertise, and a demonstrated ability to lead global finance teams, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and driving operational efficiencies through process enhancement and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations:
- Manage the global operations accounting function and organization.
- Direct ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP & IFRS (as applicable) and preparation of consolidated financials for monthly and quarterly reporting to senior executive management.
- Produce local statutory financial statements supporting tax filings.
- Ensure the integrity and consistency of financial data across all global entities while maintaining effective Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
- Support the SEC reporting group in financial reporting.
- Review and validate financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries supporting the consolidating financial statements and for global subsidiaries, with a focus on India, APAC, and key international markets.
- Implement new accounting policies and procedures.
- Achieve budgeting goals including analysis, and corrective actions.
- Monthly regional reviews of financial performance including balance sheet reviews, forecast to actual assessments by region including direct follow-up on accounting issues and concerns.
ERP Expertise & Financial Systems Management:
- Partner with IT and finance teams to implement a new ERP with direct ownership of financial modules and financial operations system enhancements.
- Utilize ERP to drive automation, standardization, and efficiency in financial processes.
- Lead ERP optimization initiatives, ensuring the system is fully leveraged for financial reporting, consolidations, and analytics.
Process Improvement & Financial Controls:
- Design and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to improve financial governance and mitigate risk.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, increase efficiency, and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Develop best practices for financial operations, ensuring scalability in a high-growth environment including continuous process improvement across all functions.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Work closely with regional finance leads, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.
- Provide training and guidance to finance teams worldwide.
Regulatory Compliance & Audit Coordination:
- Ensure full compliance with US GAAP across all financial operations.
- Monitor changes in global accounting and regulatory standards, ensuring proactive adjustments in financial reporting.
- Partner with SEC Team to manage external audit clearance.
- Partner with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance function on maintaining Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
Strategic Finance Support & Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic financial initiatives, including risk management, cost optimization, and investment analysis.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making for international expansion, M&A, and financial planning.
- Support tax, treasury, and legal teams to ensure cross-functional alignment on global finance matters.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience in a global corporate environment.
- Strong expertise in consolidations, financial reporting, and controllership.
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems, with experience in financial module implementation, optimization, and automation.
- CPA or equivalent global accounting certification strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and develop global finance teams, particularly in India, APAC, and other international markets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit coordination.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Work Instructions & Performance Expectations:
- Ensure financial close deadlines are met with 100% accuracy.
- Implement process improvements annually that enhance financial efficiency or reporting accuracy while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in financial operations.
- Develop and execute a talent development plan for the global finance team, ensuring succession planning and career growth opportunities.
