What is the opportunity?
This role provides a unique opportunity within a dynamic environment, as Zurich Cover-More integrates the newly acquired Travel Guard business. The Chief Auditor Zurich Cover-More has a global remit and will be responsible for assessing and executing audit activities related to the global integration as well as designing and implementing an interim and target state for audit. This includes undertaking ongoing risk assessments and establishing plans for the newly expanded Zurich Cover-More business, establishing the global audit team and implementing audit best practices in line with the wider Zurich Group Audit function's journey.
This role will be critical in spotting, and working with management, to address risks in rapidly evolving control environment. The role reports to Group Audit's Zurich Global Ventures Audit Lead and related Audit Committees. It is part of the Zurich Cover-More Executive team. You will work alongside subject matter experts and business leaders.

Compensation
Compensation for roles at Zurich Cover-More varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. For additional information about our Total Rewards, Click here. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education.
The salary range for this role is $250,000 - $350,000. This is the range Zurich Cover-More in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.

What will you be doing?
- Establishing the global audit team, determining the Target Operating Model and establishing the team with skills and experience in line with the businesses evolving risk profile.
- Establish and implement appropriate risk-based audit plans and coverage, driven through a robust risk assessment for the evolving control environment, striking a balance between integration risks and business audits to keep Zurich Cover-More safe.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Executive Committee members, Audit Committees and business stakeholders to constructively challenge and influence the control environment.
- Report to the Executive Committees and Audit Committees on significant weaknesses and control breakdowns, together with root cause analysis and thematic issues and trends identified. As well provide control environment assessments to relevant forums.
- Foster a high performing and engaging culture, positioning the Audit team as a recognised leader in providing internal audit activities and training ground for talent.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement and sharing innovations and best practices.
- Build open and constructive relationships with External Auditors and relevant regulators, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and addressing any items raised by them.
What are we looking for?
Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Relevant professional qualification (chartered accountant, CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent, MBA or equivalent an asset).
- 15 or more years of relevant experience at a senior level or Audit Director role in insurance; travel insurance experience strongly preferred.
- Experience of Audit and/or business risk management and control processes.
- Experience in M&A/Integrations and/or leading change management initiatives.
- Extensive experience within complex, fast-paced and international organizations.
- Proven record of collaborating within global teams, effectively managing and adapting to diverse cultural environments across multiple entities/countries.
- Proven record of working with and influencing executive/senior stakeholders.
- Proving record of excellence in Project Management.
- Relevant experience in dealing with external stakeholders, including regulators.
- Demonstrated success in business, functional and people management and experience leading teams through change.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization, managing and motivating diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
