Job Summary
The Subsequent License Renewal department is seeking a Generation Project Manager to support the Digital Instrumentation and Control Program effort at Surry Power Station by working in cross-functional teams to manage large capital digital instrumentation and controls projects through engineering, procurement, contract management, planning, construction, and closeout. The position will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Reports to the Supervisor - Nuclear Digital Projects (SLR) at Surry.
SLR digital projects perform major modifications, replacements, and upgrades to existing nuclear power plant structures, systems, and components with specific emphasis on modernization of the controls scheme for the entirety of the operating plants. This includes upgrading the control room from analog to digital controls.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
Minimum 7 years of nuclear industry or equivalent experience in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management. Nuclear industry experience highly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of project management experiences where you were assigned as project manager/leader responsible for all aspects of project scope, schedule and budget management with documented successful project performance results.
Leads personnel to safely and efficiently execute work on-site or at remote locations, organize resources to achieve station goals, coordinate the resolution of technical issues while exhibiting sound judgment and conservative decision making, demonstrate high level of ownership for their responsibilities, persists through adversity, and follows through with commitments.
Shows bias for action to challenge and correct behaviors, and promote high standards of performance. Demonstrate high integrity, safety, professionalism, and appropriate behavior driven results.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with ability to communicate to all levels of management across station organizations and resolve conflict with constructive solutions.
Demonstrated ability to understand a wide variety of topics, and be sufficiently intrusive to ensure all work items under their area of responsibility are produced with the highest of quality including technical accuracy.
Nuclear industry experience highly preferred. Digital I&C experience is highly preferred.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology,
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE)
Other: Project Management certification preferred. Millstone must meet ANSI N18.1-1971, Section 4.6.2

Responsibilites include:
- Supports the project management team by managing specific portions of the project including technical, construction, quality, cost and schedule.
- Supports development and management of project budget.
- Coordinate plant commissioning process including safety, development of system turnover packages, system walkdowns, stakeholder management, punch list management, coordination with operations, maintenance, and training, and system documentation.
- Leads, manages, and/or supports specific phases of major projects
- Supports aspects of the digital instrumentation upgrades, including both the primary and secondary plant monitoring and control systems
- Monitor the site Long Range Plan (LRP) to ensure Digital I&C SLR projects are integrated into the existing station plan for modifications (online and outage-related). Interface with the O&P manager and fleet counter parts to ensure that SLR projects are implemented within the overall fleet outage strategy.
- Support the project managers in determining the appropriate Project Scope of Work (PSOW) approvals (as required) and project team participation from key stakeholders
- Performance of a variety of other duties as requested or assigned.
