BlueWater is seeking an Emergency Medicine PA (New Grad) to participate in a one-year training program, followed by full time work at the Central Maine Healthcare Emergency Departments; Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, Bridgton Hospital in Bridgton, ME and Rumford Hospital in Rumford, ME.

More about the APP (PA) Extended Onboarding Program:

The Extended Onboarding Program is a one-year training program which includes the full spectrum of emergency medicine, including trauma, pediatrics, and critical care with on-site emergency physician back-up at all times. The successful candidate will follow an online EM course (14 online modules covering all of EM), utilizing an EM textbook, and will also attend (expenses paid) the Emergency Medicine Boot Camp Conference.

Differing from a one-year fellowship, this program is offered as the initial year of employment with the expectation the successful candidate will transition to long-term BlueWater employment as an Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (PA).

The goal of the one-year program is to provide education, experience and progressive independence that will create a strong foundation for an ongoing career in EM medicine with BlueWater Health. The initial training period will be done at CMHC's Rumford Hospital, and then transition to become a part of the overall CMHC APP Group.

Our successful candidate will be someone with a heart for Emergency Medicine and a desire for a long-term position with BlueWater at the CMH locations.

About the CMH Hospitals:

The BlueWater - Central Maine Healthcare Emergency Medicine group is a group of board-certified emergency physicians and advanced practice providers, staffing 3 emergency departments with a combined annual census of 65,000. Practice sites include a 200-bed, Level III trauma center and two critical access hospitals.

The emergency medicine team is supported by a large offering of inpatient and specialty services, including adult and pediatric hospitalists, critical care, trauma, general and specialty surgery, OBGYN, and the medical subspecialties.

Typical clinical days will include exposure to urban, suburban, and rural/austere pathology.

Central Maine Healthcare is a large, not-for-profit regional health system based in the Lewiston/Auburn area of Maine. The System includes the medical center, Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital, along with a large primary and specialty care outpatient network.
