Rohde & Schwarz USA's critical infrastructure business unit is expanding and seeking talent with Federal Government experience. This opening is for a Quality Control Manager to support our Air Traffic Control (ATC) programs. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Control Manager to oversee our customer's product manufacturing program. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters and will act as a liaison to the customer. The ideal candidate will have a background in avionics within a product support and repair environment. Strong candidates will demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, be goal oriented, and customer focused. The position is based in the DC/MD/VA area from our headquarters facility in Columbia, Maryland.

The total compensation for this position is $75K-$108K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.

Your tasks
- Lead and manage the quality control team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly ATC requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with AS9100 standards.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to quality processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality control processes and best practices.
- Manage documentation related to quality assurance, including reports, audits, and corrective action plans.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.

Your qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product manufacturing and support.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace or Defense sector.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality management role.
- AS9100 lead auditor training or equivalent experience required.
- Familiarity with the ATC and organizational structure is highly desirable.
- Experience with government programs and contracts is a plus.
- Experience with avionics in a product support and repair environment is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in quality management software and tools.
- In order to be considered, external candidates must be a US person capable of receiving a U.S. Government public trust clearance.
