The Business Development Manager - Flexible Packaging is a Key member of the North American Flexible Packaging commercial team with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management. Focused on the North American Flexible Packaging market comprised of converters and film producers but will work across the entire value chain to bring Bostik solutions to market. Customer facing role working closely with sales and viewed as a packaging trend and design expert by our customers. Works closely with global and regional marketing to support the strategy and regional execution in our target segments. Reports to North America Flex Pack Business Director.

Key Activities
- Identify and drive high impact new business projects with NA converters and film producers in new applications or with new technology.
- Identify the unique needs of target prospects, establish a fit with our technology, and craft a value-based message to generate interest.
- Work closely with our customers product development teams to bring new and sustainable technology to market.
- Build content and present to key stakeholders of prospects on relevant market trends, technologies and applications.
- Build account and market level business development plans.
- Ability to manage large, complex NBD projects with multiple stakeholders.
- With the support of tech service, lead the product qualification process to ensure we are specified in key applications. Once the project is commercialized, transition the business to the sales team.
- Collaborate globally on global key accounts and relevant business development projects.
- Manage project pipeline through Salesforce.com.
- Represent Bostik by participating/presenting in industry groups and associations, technical committees, and trade shows.
- Support OEM and Brand Owner interactions.
Accountabilities
- Build a robust pipeline of large, high value projects.
- Deliver annual NBD budget.
Qualifications / Experience required
- Technical bachelor's degree required; an MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years' experience in R&D, Sales, Tech Service, BD or Marketing required.
- Experience in the packaging market is strongly preferred.
- Customer oriented. Business savvy.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and formal presentation communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office.
- Position located in Dublin, OH or Wauwatosa, WI
- Travel up to 50%.
