This leadership role will oversee a talented team of engineers, providing direction and technical expertise in the execution of civil and structural engineering projects. As the Lead Engineer or Department Manager, you will guide the design and execution of EPC projects, ensuring that all projects meet industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of civil and structural engineers, ensuring the development of high-quality designs in compliance with industry codes and project specifications.
- Oversee multiple projects from initiation to completion, managing scope, budget, timeline, and quality control to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide strategic leadership by guiding the team on complex engineering challenges, conducting structural analysis, providing design calculations, and offering technical support during construction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding project requirements, resolving technical issues, and ensuring projects align with client expectations and goals.
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to integrate civil and structural designs into the broader project framework.
- Develop and implement best practices for engineering processes, team collaboration, and project execution to maintain a high standard of work quality and project efficiency.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting professional growth and ensuring the team's adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on EPC and/or oil and gas projects.
- Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects.
- Strong proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and other relevant tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including ACI, AISC, IBC, ASCE, and other relevant guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Ability to balance independent work with effective team collaboration in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
