What part will you play?
The AV and Media Support Technician will support the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual and media systems across the client's NYC organization. The role requires hands-on experience with AV equipment, video conferencing tools, and digital media systems, along with strong troubleshooting skills, strong communication and a customer-focused mindset.
NOTE - this position is 100% onsite at our customers offices in Midtown Manhattan.

The AV and Media Support Technician will support the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual and media systems across the client's NYC organization. The role requires hands-on experience with AV equipment, video conferencing tools, and digital media systems, along with strong troubleshooting skills, strong communication and a customer-focused mindset.
NOTE - this position is 100% onsite at our customers offices in Midtown Manhattan.
What will you be doing?
- Break/Fix Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Diagnose and resolve issues with video walls, LED displays, projectors, and presentation systems.
- Troubleshoot AV routing and signal flow (HDMI, SDI, Dante, Crestron NVX, Evertz routing).
- Support networked AV systems (Dante, IPTV, digital signage, RF distribution).
- Repair, replace, or configure Crestron, Evertz, Barco, QSC, and Biamp systems.
- Control Systems & Networking Support:
- Maintain and troubleshoot Crestron control systems, touch panels, and automation scripts.
- Assist with Evertz routing, Barco control surfaces, and other broadcast & media systems.
- Work with IT teams to resolve network-related AV issues, including Dante/AES67 audio.
- Preventative Maintenance & System Upkeep:
- Perform regular system health checks to prevent downtime.
- Maintain AV racks, ventilation, and power systems (APC, Middle Atlantic).
- Assist with software updates, firmware patches, and system calibrations.
- End-User Support & Coordination:
- Provide onsite support for executives, presenters, and event teams.
- Work with service desk and vendors and manufacturers (Evertz, Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Samsung, etc.) for RMA processing and advanced troubleshooting.
- Document troubleshooting steps and maintain an accurate ticketing system.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in AV break/fix, support, or field service.
- Strong knowledge of AV systems, control platforms, and networking (IPTV, Dante, SDVoE, Crestron NVX, Extron, Barco, Evertz, Q-SYS, Biamp, etc.).
- Experience troubleshooting LED walls, video walls, projection mapping, and large-scale displays.
- Understanding of Crestron, Evertz, Extron, Q-SYS, and Dante control/audio networking.
- Ability to troubleshoot signal flow issues across SDI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and fiber.
- Basic IT/networking skills (switch configuration, VLANs, multicast AV distribution).
- Hands-on experience with AV racks, structured cabling, and power management.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for onsite executive/end-user support.
