The Oil Movement Center (OMC) Supervisor is a staff level board operating position in the Logistics Department. The OMC Supervisor is responsible for the safe and on spec movement of all products in the Logistics area and directs the work of operators in the field. The OMC Supervisor controls and monitors: in-line gasoline and diesel blenders; all finished product pipeline shipments; barge loading and unloading; and all transfers to and from intermediate storage tanks.

The Wood River Refinery is located in Roxana, Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri, at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes a mixture of light, low-sulfur; heavy, high sulfur; and high-acid crude oil. The crude supply is sourced domestically or from Canada. Wood River produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, asphalt and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers by pipeline, rail car, barge and truck and are shipped to markets throughout the Midcontinent region.
The base pay range for this role is $127,300 - $156,500 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.

Responsibilities May Include:
- Provide leadership to maintain an effective team within the department. Interact in a leadership capacity with operators, and provide technical support to FLSs and maintenance personnel
- Communicate with external pipeline companies and third party terminals to coordinate start up and shutdown of pipeline shipments (LPGs, gasoline, jet, diesel, etc.)
- Communicate with dock facilities and inspection companies for barge loading of products/intermediates (asphalt, slurry, benzene, cat feed, gasoline components, etc.)
- Know and understand the refinery product quality agreements and coordinate off-spec routings with the Shift Superintendent as needed
- Communicate effectively with the laboratory to coordinate sampling of intermediates and finished product shipments
- Ensure that all tanks operate within their safe operating limits
- Continuously optimize all gasoline and diesel pipeline blends to minimize product quality giveaway, and meet refinery cost improvement targets
- Communicate daily with Refinery Clean Products Scheduler and Clean Product Business Representative to provide information and feedback to improve gasoline blending recipes and control performance
- Actively support refinery direction from run the plan meeting process
- Provide effective leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills
- Work with and incorporate ideas of other organizations
- Encourage creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement from their team

- Coordinate operational changes between Logistics and other departments to help prevent undesired operation or line-up errors which could lead to a safety, environmental, or missed margin opportunity events
- Coordinate and provide leadership decision-making for multiple issues and prioritize them appropriately given HS&E concerns, quality risks, and business needs
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School Diploma or higher
- Possess valid driver's license
- 3 or more years of refinery or similar industrial experience
- Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following:
- Work a 12-hour rotating shift
- Travel up to 5% of the time
- Occasional on-call duties
- Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Transport articles up to 50 pounds
- Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet in height
- Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (such as steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
- Maintain face daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Refinery process operations
- 2 or more years of supervisory experience in refinery or similar industrial experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in SAP (maintenance notifications, vacation), Radical View, and MS Office applications
- Possess working knowledge of maintenance processes and practices for refining
- Possess general knowledge of WRR Complex Procedures
- Commitment to a very high level of attention to detail/accuracy in their work product
- Willingness to learn about the entire refinery operations to allow for troubleshooting and optimization
- Willingness to learn about laboratory testing methods and clean product quality limits
