Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

Under general supervision, this position develops and manages the operation's continuous improvement and lean manufacturing strategy to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, quality, production capacity, productivity, and service levels. Also, established and promotes the operational excellence education and certification process for the PTC campus, including RMA, new production, re-manufacturing, re-conditioning, warehouse and logistics, and REWS.

As part of the IE functions, and in coordination and alignment with all local functional areas and corporate offices, this role owns the plants Layout and defines the best production flow, defines and maintain production standards, measures productivity and capacity and promotes ergonomics. Tracks and reports all improvements efforts and run or participates in special projects and CAPAS as required by the organization.

Develops and manage the Goal deployment process developing strategies and tools to facilitate this process and provides assistance to the leadership team to properly establish and manage departmental performance goals and targets.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Measure and Improve line distribution layouts.
  • Improve manufacturing process by performing line stabilization and waste elimination.
  • Measure and reports productivity to Production Managers to trigger improvement projects.
  • Administrate facility lay outs and changes by keeping close partnership with engineering and facilities.
  • Manage operational excellence program (LSS) in all areas by training and facilitating teams working on improvements.
  • Validate team's improvements and report benefits to the company.
  • Establish recognition programs for teams and projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement behavior in all areas.
  • Manage LSS tools training for all areas.
  • Reviews and update IVI / MPI to reflect current practices.
  • Continuously challenge process to find better ways to perform.
  • Drive our Culture Strategy by fostering our mission, founding practices, individual and leadership expectations.


Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
  • Professional BS in Industrial Engineering or equivalent; MBA is preferred.
  • Experience of at least 5 years as engineering manager in a medical environment or equivalent.
  • Proven Program Manager.
  • Ability to drive and manage large-scale projects
  • Proven negotiator.
  • LSS Knowledge.
  • Team Builder.
  • Delegates tasks, responsibilities and authority effectively
  • Ability to effectively communicate with executive management and board of directors and in a multicultural, multinational environment and mobilize cross-functional high performance teams
