SAIC is seeking a highly organized and motivated leader with a diverse set of technical skills to serve as Principal Program Analyst.
Candidate will work effectively in a fast-paced environment, specifically with submarine systems and related test equipment and will report technical and programmatic information to the team. Candidate will be responsible to work in a team environment with Government and SAIC engineers to design, development, test and implement modern systems for the U.S. Navy. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the transfer of technology and technical information between SAIC and the Government. Serving as an SAIC representative, you will drive collaboration and help ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and processes from the research ecosystem into our cutting-edge undersea vehicle programs.
Location: Work is performed both on site and allows for remote/work at home. The on-site work is at 28 Jacome Way, Middletown, RI, and/or the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport. Candidate must live in the local area to come on site as needed/frequently.
This position is contingent upon contract award in Fall 2025.
General Description of Role/Responsibilities:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and technical personnel.
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Responsible for ensuring contract requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished, including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract.
Works under consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory.
Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would normally result in failure to achieve goals critical to the major objectives of the organization.
Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives.

Must be willing/able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience
- additional yrs of experience has been accepted in lieu of degree.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in prototype development and transitioning products from design to production is highly desirable.
Position requires U.S. Citizenship.
