As a member of the Finance Team, the Senior Rebate Accountantis responsible for accurately recording, analyzing and reconciling rebate transactions, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and financial standards.

Position responsibilities:
  • Reviews rebate agreements and contracts to understand terms, conditions, and eligibility criteria.
  • Collaborates with Product Management, Accounts Receivables, and Accounting Manager to ensure rebates are collected in accordance with rebate agreements.
  • Analyze rebate variances between estimated and actual receipts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Participate in internal and external audits of rebate programs, providing documentation and support as needed.
  • Respond to audit inquiries and assist in resolving audit findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and reconciliations of rebate accounts to ensure integrity and compliance.


Position requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, or related field; from a four-year college or university; at least five of years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required for this role.
  • Problem solving skills: listening to, interpreting, and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems.
  • Project management skills: establishing objectives, timelines, and deadlines; action planning to meet deadlines; evaluating current and future positions.
  • Experience in a distribution environment is a plus.
  • Experience working with large datasets and managing complex financial models or systems to track data.
  • Experience in providing detailed reports to management, highlighting trends, discrepancies, and potential improvements.
