About This Role
The Senior Director, Alzheimer's Global Diagnostics & Disease Area Strategy Lead, ALZ will lead the overall global diagnostic pathway strategy and disease area strategy for the ADD Franchise. In addition, the role will determine the unbranded/disease area strategies and tactics required to realize the Biogen ADD Pipeline Strategy. Significant collaborative working is required across multiple subject matter experts

Additional Information
The base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $316,000. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.

About This Role
The Senior Director, Alzheimer's Global Diagnostics & Disease Area Strategy Lead, ALZ will lead the overall global diagnostic pathway strategy and disease area strategy for the ADD Franchise. What You'll Do
- Develop the diagnostics pathway strategy and lead the global implementation.
- Lead the Disease Area Strategy Process and assess/recommend key unbranded/disease area strategies and tactics to realize the Biogen ADD Pipeline Strategy.
- Facilitate communication with internal cross-functional and regional teams, external vendors, external partners, or collaborators.
- Assist with coordination of internal diagnostic programs, development and management of Vendor SOWs and budgets.
- Lead the interactions with key internal and external stakeholders to develop programs and manage the dementia diagnostics and unbranded disease area objectives in alignment with business objectives.
- Manage complex project and programs ensuring deliverables are on time and in line with contracted terms and business deadlines.
- Evaluate competitive intelligence and commercial performance of the diagnostics in development and in the commercial landscape to inform strategy development and tactical project plans as necessary to enhance operational execution.
- Monitor biomarkers and emerging digital tools likely to be used to screen and diagnosis ADD patients in the future to assess and recommend ways to simplify the patient care pathway in preparation for potential and future launches.
- Support management of fiscal year budgets.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 12+ years relevant experience in diagnostic, pipeline strategy, pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry
- Demonstrated history of developing strategies and managing timelines and tactical plans for diagnostics or therapeutic programs in conjunction with diagnostic programs.
- Ability to manage multiple programs with cross-functional teams and with external partners (e.g., laboratories, IVD companies).
- Working knowledge of diagnostics development or commercialization process or working with cross-functional operational teams.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills
- Ability to lead collaboratively multiple projects simultaneously
- History of working on collaborative initiatives with alliance partners
- Ability to apply good judgment within the team
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
- Advanced degree preferred
- Alzheimer's development, launch and/or commercialization experience is preferred. However, experience in HIV, Oncology or Cardiometabolic in development, launch and/or commercialization may also be relevant.
