Job Summary:
The position entails hiring, training, managing, overseeing, and supervising all Area Sales Representatives. This position will also be responsible for business and account development in a player/coach role. The Area Sales Manager will mitigate and provide support during issues that arise between customers and the region operations, requiring a broad knowledge of NOV Tuboscope's services, Tuboscope Gold, operation structures and management within the Region and across regions in addition to the customers we take pride in serving.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hiring additional resources to the team, providing training, managing Area Sales Representatives Monitor weekly sales call agendas of Sales Representatives thru CRM and Tuboscope GOLD Must be able to create and manage all pricing agreements, contract agreements Efficient and Productive assignment of accounts to Representatives Monitor Sales Personnel Revenue Goals and provide support to meet these goals. Monitor and control expenses for assigned group To research and provide Sales Representatives with any information needed to provide our services to our customers Assist Sales Representatives in handling of customer objections; determine and implement appropriate action Field Customer inquiries and questions about our services and assign/delegate to appropriate Sales Reps. Assist with performance reviews of assigned group Serve as backup to Director of Sales Must be well versed in product knowledge of all Tuboscope services and products Weekly/ monthly forecasting and managing of Sales Expenses through COGNOS Budget and strategy planning Plan on being a Working Sales Manager- have your own accounts while managing others.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to the Director of East Region Sales Is responsible for managing the Outside and Inside Sales The nature and scope of the position require the individual to be self-sufficient, diligent, and resourceful and excellent with time management Past due invoice resolution with Sales Representatives Aid and training to Sales Group in fundamentals of Tuboscope GOLD Provide direction and accompany Sales Reps on Customer Calls weekly Assist Director of East Region Sales and Operations with Budgeting and Revenue Analysis Strong follow up skills with the ability to close a sale Entertainment of customers and frequent networking at all industry related events, associations, etc. Ability to identify, connect, communicate, and set up seminars with all product line support teams Ability to work with and support other regions across the US Active and weekly participation in all US Coating, ALT, Drilling, and Sales Conference Calls Must manage all sales meetings in CRM Development of pricing and marketing (selling value) strategies and provide customers with value added based solutions Managing the Bi-Weekly Area Sales Meeting Ability to challenge the sales force to further expand existing opportunities Required to check in frequently with and work under the direction of the Director of East Region Sales

Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Marketing/Sales within Tuboscope OR a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Sales & Marketing
- Excellent Communication skills
- Computer skills in all Windows based systems
- Self-started, highly motivated, and innovative to seek out and create new opportunities for the organization
