Insurance fraud costs the industry more than $308.6 billion annually. The Director of Product Management is an integral role to help lead the strategy and execution in the development of anti-fraud detection and investigative solutions at Verisk. This person will serve as conduit between internal product stakeholders and teams and external clients to produce high-quality and impactful Anti-Fraud solutions for the insurance business domain within claims.

Responsibilities

The Director of Product Management will help define project scope, goals, and deliverables, manage the project team, manage, and report against the budget, track deliverables, monitor and report on project progress, and present updates and impediments to stakeholders. The successful candidate will work on multiple projects simultaneously while fostering partnerships with customers and stakeholders alike.
  • Work with senior Product Leadership to evolve anti-fraud solutions strategic vision into actionable tactics that are customer focused.
  • Define and manage the product roadmap and prioritization process, setting expectations with relevant stakeholders including the senior leadership team.
  • Leverage both customer feedback and empirical evidence to make recommendations and decisions on product priorities.
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities, creating strong partnerships internally, and identifying opportunities to improve and extend our products to benefit our customers and prospects.
  • Conduct product discovery activities including prototype design, user testing, and data analysis to support product manager decisioning.
  • Be well versed in understanding both Verisk data assets and relevant third-party data sources.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the organization's ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Develop appropriately detailed user stories and requirements for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development team.
  • Provide industry thought leadership and subject matter expertise of Verisk claims Anti-Fraud solutions and services.
  • Manage schedule and work with stakeholders to ensure successful product releases.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage and execute simultaneous projects and tasks.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative. Comfortable working both independently and with a team.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated record of partnering with cross-functional teams across an organization and influencing to achieve business results.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for delivering best in class products and user experience.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in insurance claims, special investigations, or equivalent a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development with SaaS models preferred.
