Estimator - Water/Wastewater Treatment (North Texas) - Austin Bridge & Road

Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for a Water/Wastewater Estimator for projects in North Texas, responsible for pricing and bidding water infrastructure projects, based at their headquarters in Coppell, Texas. This position will report to the Lead Estimator and will actively participate in estimating efforts to build backlog in support of company organizational goals on water/wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience estimating civil and concrete disciplines.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and secure bid opportunities, presenting them for consideration to drive project growth.
• Conduct thorough risk analysis and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Review and analyze complex project plans and specifications to ensure accurate cost estimations.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and create comprehensive, competitive cost estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from business partners to secure the best pricing and coverage of work scope.
• Collaborate during the preconstruction phase of alternative delivery projects to ensure accurate cost assessments.
• Lead efforts to solicit subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring full coverage of all scopes of work.
• Contribute to schedule preparation and critical path analysis to support project timelines.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and project goals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, with at least 3 years of direct estimating experience on water/wastewater projects ranging from $1M to $50M.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with BlueBeam and HeavyBid by HCSS is highly desirable.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and present complex information.

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on water/wastewater infrastructure projects ranging from $1M to $50M.
• Demonstrated project management experience in the water/wastewater sector, overseeing estimating, cost control, and project execution.
