Job Description Summary
The successful candidate will serve as the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) responsible for developing, administering and monitoring the overall compliance programs for Transamerica's mutual fund complex (Funds). The candidate will also serve as the CCO to the investment adviser, Transamerica Asset Management (TAM) and the transfer agent. This position reports to Transamerica Corporation's (Transamerica) Enterprise CCO and the Transamerica Mutual Fund Board (Board), with a dotted reporting line to the Head of TAM.
The CCO will work closely with the Board and Transamerica's business partners, as well as risk management, internal and external counsel, and the Funds internal and external service providers to proactively administer and maintain a comprehensive compliance program. The CCO will be responsible for ensuring that the Funds activities satisfy all pertinent SEC and related regulatory requirements. The CCO will additionally serve as an active, contributing member of the TAM's senior leadership team providing guidance, collaboration, and support to the implementation process for key firm strategies.

Working Environment
The Salary for this position generally ranges between $290,000-$310,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.

Job Description
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the Funds' compliance program, including developing and maintaining written compliance policies and procedures for the Funds to ensure compliance with Rule 38a-1 under the Investment Company Act of 1940 ("`40 Act").
- Conduct compliance and risk assessments and manage the testing and monitoring program in accordance with regulatory expectations and best practices.
- Responsible for the commodity pool and derivatives risk management programs.
- Oversee and conduct due diligence reviews of the Funds various service providers.
- Provide written and oral presentations to the Funds Boards of Directors.
- Actively monitor regulatory requirements and anticipated changes as well as anticipated changes in Fund related business and operations to identify and mitigate compliance risks and adapt compliance program in response to such changes.
- Oversee regulatory filings ensuring they align with company and regulatory standards.
- Represent the company in external compliance-related meetings and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the compliance program to ensure it meets the evolving needs of the organization.
- Mentor and develop team members to foster a high performing and knowledgeable compliance team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 15+ years relevant work experience in compliance, legal and/or regulatory experience with a mutual fund complex required. JD or advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the financial services markets and products, securities laws (1933, 1934, and 1940 Acts, blue-sky laws) and regulations (SEC/FINRA/state/federal). Experience with other rules and regulations under ERISA, CFTC, FINRA, Trust Companies and UCITS a plus.
- Ability to effectively present to a Board of Directors and executive officers.
- Experience working with registered investment companies and registered investment advisers required. Must have thorough understanding of compliance related issues affecting mutual funds and the asset management industry.
- Technical understanding of compliance practices, rules and regulations, and the ability to drive the development and execution of compliance policies.
- Ability to work on tasks independently and manage resources in other functions and locations to complete projects.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and consult with individuals at all levels.
- Strong abilities in the areas of problem solving, project management, decision-making, communication (verbal and written), and leadership required.
- Ability to manage expectations, attend to details, handle multiple projects, and prioritize effectively with a focus on results.
- Ability to assemble, lead and supervise a team of compliance professionals.
Working Environment
- This hybrid position is based in Transamerica's Denver, CO office with an expectation of 2-3 in-office days per week Remote arrangements may be considered for candidates not located near Denver, with an expectation of regular travel to this office.
- Periodic travel may be required, up to 25% for hybrid work arrangements (Denver); up to 50% for remote work arrangements.
