The reporting location for this position is Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II.

The Bonds & Grants Unit is hiring an Associate Park & Recreation Specialist (APRS) or an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) for a Grant Administrator position. The Grant Administrator will report directly to the Staff Services Manager II (Program Manager) and will assist in developing, implementing, administering, and monitoring local assistance grant programs and projects. Duties include reviewing grant proposals, conducting field inspections, developing grant agreements, processing payment requests, assisting with public outreach workshops, and other required duties.

Flexible Work Schedule: This position is considered Remote-Centered, which means the incumbent would telework 50% or more of the time within a work month from an alternate work location. The position incumbent can telework with a management approved telework agreement and schedule. This position is eligible for partial teleworking in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy but the incumbent will be required to report to the office as needed/required.

The incumbent's work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Working Conditions

Department Information The California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) is a state cabinet-level agency in the government of California. Through its 40 departments, conservancies, boards, commissions, councils, and museums, the California Natural Resources Agency is responsible for protecting historical, natural, and cultural sites, monitoring and controlling state lands and waterways, and regulating fish and game use.
