Our client's specialty synthetic wax segment produces specialty polyethylene and poly alpha olefin waxes and provides custom processing services. The specialty polyethylene waxes are used in markets from paints and inks to adhesives, coatings, and PVC lubricants. The highly specialized synthetic poly alpha olefin waxes are used in applications such as toner in printers and as additives for candles providing rigidity and retention of fragrances. These waxes are sold in solid form as pastilles or, for large adhesive companies, in bulk liquid form.
Position Description:
Process Controls Engineer designs, implements, and maintains automated control systems to regulate and optimize industrial processes. They ensure systems function efficiently, reliably, and safely, often working with software and hardware to achieve desired process outcomes.

Position Description:
Process Controls Engineer designs, implements, and maintains automated control systems to regulate and optimize industrial processes. They ensure systems function efficiently, reliably, and safely, often working with software and hardware to achieve desired process outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Supports capital projects as Direct Project Manager or Process Engineer and coordinates use of outside engineering/construction firm(s).
- Develop and implement control systems for various industrial processes, using tools like software, PLC programming, and control algorithms.
- Develops innovative solutions, enhances, and implements systems that increase efficiency and optimize all phases of service or production processes, from design to manufacturing.
- Designs processes and equipment related to the development and commercialization of products or services that are cost effective and within project budget.
- Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials.
- Improves process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes.
- Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve.
- Minimum 6 years of plant operation experience in either a batch or continuous environment.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization.
- Knowledge of industry standards and practices.
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Experience in capital project execution
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required.
