AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer, Systems Analysis, Level 6 (SE6) to lead complex systems engineering efforts across the entire system lifecycle.
In this position, you will support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area, this senior role requires deep expertise in systems engineering principles, with a strong focus on lifecycle integration, stakeholder communication, and technical leadership.
Mission: As a Systems Engineer on this government program, you will be responsible for applying systems engineering principles across the full systems lifecycle, ensuring technical integrity, quality, and compliance with SO/IEC 15288 standards.
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Requirements:

- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience
- Apply systems engineering principles throughout all lifecycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement.
- Serve as a primary technical liaison to the Government for systems engineering considerations, issues, and conflict resolution.
- Lead or contribute to deliverables and engineering work products within one or more of the 25 ISO/IEC 15288 process areas across:
- Technical Process Areas: Requirements Definition, Architecture Design, Integration, Verification, Validation, etc.
- Project Process Areas: Planning, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Decision Management, etc.
- Enterprise Process Areas: Quality Management, Lifecycle Model Management, HR Management, etc.
- Agreement Process Areas: Acquisition and Supply.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of technical work across diverse engineering disciplines and stakeholder requirements.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders to align technical objectives with mission and program goals.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience leading large-scale systems engineering projects
- Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 15288 standards and process areas
- Effective communicator with experience briefing senior stakeholders and executives
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex systems architecture and integration challenges
- Deep knowledge of lifecycle-based systems engineering and technical governance
Education and Required Qualification
- PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience
OR
- Master's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience
OR
- Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience
OR
- High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of systems engineering experience
Travel
- Less than 10% of travel may occur.
