Who are we hiring?

We are seeking a Controls and Automation Programmer to join the Advanced Engineering team based in Las Vegas, Nevada. You will bring expert-level knowledge of show control systems, staging and rigging, as well as skills in networking and computer programming to solve problems and execute complex show system design required to successfully launch live productions at MSG Sphere. Additionally, you will integrate software and hardware from third-party companies into our show controls platforms, bringing together the technology to run seamlessly. An enthusiasm to streamline operations, ensuring the highest level of operational safety and efficiencies in collaboration with artists and industry leaders, are essential attributes.

What will you do?
  • Deliver and maintain reliable technical solutions to realize the strategic and creative goals of venue stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the MSG Controls Engineer to ensure reliable operation of all equipment during testing and when deployed in the venue.
  • Ensure on time delivery of the show system controls including components brought in to the venue; complete with operational plans and support documentation.
  • Identify and troubleshoot control system.
  • Control system commissioning.

What do you need to succeed?
  • 5+ years' of relevant experience in delivering and maintaining reliable technical solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or theater arts is required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proficiency with TAIT Navigator control system is required.
  • Knowledge of show control, display technologies, lighting and rigging automation.
  • Hands-on experience with automation controls systems and PLCs.
  • Strong grasp of relevant underlying physics and engineering principals.
  • Solid communication and consultative skills.

Special Requirements
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours including but not limited to overnights, weekends, and holidays

Hourly Pay Range

$57.70-$64.90 USD
