Animal Care Hospital of Morris is looking to add a veterinarian to our team!
We're a 3-DVM, AAHA-accredited practice serving Morris and Grundy County, IL, with a mission to provide compassionate, top-quality care for pets-and peace of mind for their families. Our doctors are experienced, committed to ongoing education, and work closely with a skilled, seasoned support staff to ensure every patient receives the attention and care they deserve.
We pride ourselves on low-stress handling techniques and fear-free practices, creating a calm and positive environment for pets and people alike. Our newly constructed dental suite, standalone surgical suite, and access to advanced training in ultrasound and dentistry mean you'll have all the tools you need to thrive.
Our ideal candidate has a strong foundation in general medicine and surgery, with at least 1-2 years of experience. If you're excited by opportunities in mentorship, leadership, or advanced training-we're here to support you!

Essential Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients' medical records.
- Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
