  • This role works more independently and has built technical skills through experience and learning.
  • They will be responsible for execution of a complete task or multiple tasks within a project. They will work with junior staff to accomplish objectives.

In the role
  • Write SQL scripts, queries, and stored procedures to extract data
  • Develop complex advancement reports using SQL, Microsoft Office and other utilities or languages as necessary
  • Perform ad hoc and structured data analysis
  • Generate quality reports
  • Identify data issues proactively and flag them to respective stakeholders
  • Plan the development process and work towards meeting the defined timelines
  • Share the activity status report to immediate managers
  • Document the development procedure at every stage of the project
  • Uses modeling techniques and tools in analyzing and specifying data structure in large and/or complex data sets
  • Implements best practices in data management to ensure the integrity of the data, the quality of data processes and delivers analyzable or analyzed data to a variety of internal and external clients
  • Craft and execute SQL queries to retrieve relevant data from various database tables.
  • Identifies and corrects data inconsistencies, handling missing values, and transforming data into a usable format for analysis.
  • Understands and maintain database schema to ensure data integrity and efficient querying.
  • Ensures that applications run efficiently and are optimized for performance..
  • Participates in code reviews and ensure code quality.
  • Debugs and resolves technical issues.


General Skills

  • 3 - 5 Years of software engineering experience
  • Proficient programming skills in one or more languages and the ability deliver a clear, concise explanation of work via technical writing.
  • Interest in and ability to discuss technical concepts beyond own immediate work.
  • Applies enthusiasm for continuous learning to improve contributions and maintains craftsman like approach to work and, generally, understands how own work fits into broader technical strategy.
  • Applies and hones core skills for software development and expresses interest in technology trends including design principles and patterns, and methods including Agile software development, iterative delivery, and cloud computing.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Preferred knowledge of mainframe operating systems, such as z/OS and z/VSE
  • Preferred experience with tools such as CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Preferred knowledge of SnowFlake
  • BS degree in a computer related field
  • Excellent communications skills
