Description:
Physical Therapists are responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy treatment.
They develop treatment plans and goals and administer physical therapy treatments.
They will be active in inpatient and outpatient services, interacting with various departments and medical staff.
They provide 1:1 patient care with one 45-minute appointment every hour.
They perform appropriate evaluation tests and measurements based on the patient's diagnosis.
They develop treatment plans, including reassessing and revising every 6 weeks or earlier based on the patient's progress.
They perform physical therapy techniques appropriate to the diagnosis.
They document progress reports for patients in a timely manner to coincide with physician follow-up visits.
They assist with compliance for insurance carriers and utilization review companies for authorization and reimbursement.
In addition to scheduled weekday and Saturday shifts, they will share coverage for inpatient care on holidays and Sundays.
They generally cover one holiday per year and Sunday coverage 6-8 times per year.
The position requires a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
