- Lead and manage a team of patient account representative staff including hiring, training and performance management. The scope of work for A/R staff is any accounts receivable work efforts once a claim is billed to an insurance payer.
- Ensures performance, productivity and quality metrics are in place to drive effectiveness and efficiency in areas of responsibility.
- Monitors aging for early warning indicators of potential revenue loss and creates and executes plans to confront and minimize where possible.
- Demonstrates strong leadership guidance with internal business partners, payers government entities and stakeholders to speak confidently and accurately on A/R flow.
- Develop and implement strategies that are best practice in A/R management to optimize cash flow, cash velocity, quality in follow up efforts and leverages best practices in system automation.
- Promote strong cooperation and alignment across internal departments. Utilize advanced analytics to drive revenue cycle optimization work and to focus on highest priorities.
- Serve as subject matter expert about insurance A/R and remain aware of organizational changes that may impact initiative success, and continuously adapts and works with leaders to account for any impact resulting from these changes.
- Gathers necessary data and information for informed decision making on benefits and risks of goals and objectives.
- Embraces being a revenue cycle expert by staying apprised of industry trends, risks and innovation.
- Build, promote, and encourage a positive culture with team engagement, leadership development, employee recognition and support to overcome hurdles.
- Participate in various ad-hoc revenue cycle optimization initiatives as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree in business majors, preferred.
- Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years' experience in revenue cycle management operations with a progressive track to a leadership role.
- 3+ years experience in a predominantly revenue cycle services model of shared services, outsource or cosource billing models or third party billing
- 4+ years' experience in operational planning, operational excellence, change management or similar experience
REQUIREMENTS
- Travel up to 5% of the time to stakeholder markets in the US
- Meeting facilitation both virtually and in person
- Creating and presenting operational outcomes
- Gathering and organizing meaningful market stakeholder data
KNOWLEDGE
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing claim operations and payment models.
- Understanding of healthcare insurance
- Knowledge of customer service best practices
- Knowledge of implementation planning and execution with systems and processes

- Primarily remote in nature with travel to HOPCo offices and sites
