    Primary Responsibilities

    The Facilities Senior Manager is responsible for the efficient operations of the warehouse equipment, IT systems and operating systems as well as ensuring the facility housekeeping standards are met on a daily basis. This person leads and directs the maintenance and sanitation teams within the Distribution Center. This position is also responsible for technology support for the warehouse systems and IT equipment.

    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for maintaining high standards related to the physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
    • Implement new processes to increase efficiencies while reducing costs.
    • Troubleshoot systems issues, which effect timely delivery and/or receiving of product.
    • Ensure company sponsored safety programs are administered correctly according to best practice.
    • Proactively improve labor relations and employee engagement.
    • Schedule and assign duties for PIT equipment repair and PMs, facility maintenance and work on minor building projects.
    • Responsible for monitoring janitorial / housekeeping performance and cleanliness.
    • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.
    • Responsible for providing information and support to a wide variety of users.
    • Supports the day-to-day functionality, efficiency, and operational maintenance for staff support needs.
    • Tracks the status of user issues and follows up as needed to provide timely updates and ensure resolution
    • Coordinates team projects and provides direction and guidance to others when necessary.
    • Maintain and actively contribute to the knowledge base that improves the effectiveness of the team.
    • Oversees and supervises the wuality of work for other employees to insure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively
    • Manages and reviews all service contracts
    • Conducts and documents facility inspections


    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    • Previous facilities experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
    • Previous experience supervising and leading teams.
    • Previous experience in a heavily automated facility
    • Previous experience with large conveyor networks and associated automation
    • Background in working with outside vendors and contractors.
    • Some weekend and evening work required.
    • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Proficiency with MS Office
    • Qualifications / Additional Skills /Aptitude:
    • Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers and management.
    • Ability to follow safe working practices, as instructed.
    • Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision.

The associate is required to sit. The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
