Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the interior construction of a new Missouri State Lab in Jefferson City, MO. This $155 million project has already commenced and is scheduled to be completed by October 2026. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in budget management and experience leading complex construction projects.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and update project management and financial plans.
  • Participate in preconstruction processes and bid package development.
  • Lead bid evaluations and trade partner buyouts.
  • Manage internal and external project documentation.
  • Oversee self-perform strategy and production rate/budget goals.
  • Ensure equipment is onsite as needed and manage logistics center invoicing.
  • Develop and execute Building Performance Solutions (BPS) Action Plan.
  • Conduct site safety walks and ensure safety requirements are met.
  • Maintain and organize all project documentation.
  • Lead project meetings and ensure timely issuance of agendas and minutes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners.
  • Proactively manage and communicate project schedules.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure financial success of the project through accurate budget management and forecasting.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 6+ years' experience in construction management.
  • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong budget management and cost projection skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage project schedules.
  • Excellent problem resolution and issues management skills.
  • Proven relationship-building skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Leadership experience in project management from start to finish.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience running project-related meetings, including Progress, OAC, and pre-installation meetings.
Work Environment

This role involves overseeing a major construction project with a dedicated team of professionals. The position is salary exempt with a negotiable PTO. Per diem is provided for five days a week, with a potential monthly travel stipend. The work environment requires proficiency in construction management software and adherence to safety protocols. Weekend home visits are possible with leadership approval.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $57.00/hr.
