Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a vital role in Stepan's global finance transformation initiative to further enhance insightfulness of reporting to Senior Leadership and streamline the budgeting, forecasting and long-range strategic planning processes. This person will be responsible for providing ad hoc reporting to the CFO on a regular basis, facilitating development of the long-range strategic financial plan with the business, partnering with the business unit finance managers, coordinating / writing executive reports for the Board of Directors, and supporting the CFO to further improve the company's investor relations capabilities. Given the department's use of SAP's BPC software for reporting and planning, this person will also be responsible for constructing new reports within BPC and helping to support new users across the organization.

Job Functions:
Actively involved in routine monthly management reporting responsibilities
Prepare presentations and executive reports for the Operating Committee, Board of Directors and other Senior Management
Provide financial analysis support for global operations, including; ad-hoc analysis for board packages, power point presentations, review of cost savings proposals and other business analysis
Preparation of financial and business related analysis and research in such areas as working capital and ROIC
Conceptualize and construct reports in SAP's Business Planning & Consolidations tool (i.e., BPC)
Support internal training sessions for new users of the SAP BPC software tool
Support the BPC administrator's responsibilities to optimize the new BPC platform through collaboration, prioritization, best practices & knowledge sharing, governance, strategy, standards and scalability
Support the CFO's responsibilities with respect to Investor Relations, including enhancement of the investor pitch, monitoring the company's analyst consensus estimates, preparation of Q&A for the quarterly earnings calls and continuous improvement of the company's investor relations capabilities
Support the annual budget and 5 year plan processes
Prepare other ad hoc analyses, as needed

Qualifications
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and across departments
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Assertive, action orientated hands-on, "roll up your sleeves"-type approach
Energetic, strong work ethic, resilient, collaborative, ability to juggle multiple projects at once and personally committed to achieving success
2 to 5 years of overall experience in finance and/or accounting
Experience working in FP&A and/or transaction advisory services preferred
Experience with financial modeling preferred
Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse and BPC (or its equivalents)
Experience operating in an international/global business environment
Experience working in a middle-market manufacturing company, ideally innovative and high-growth

Education
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

Pay Range: $84,000 - $127,000
The salary range for this position is determined by considering a variety of factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and the location of the position.
