- Assist in managing the data extraction and integration process for Flight Operations System (FOS) data across mainline and regional operations
- Support the analysis and management of seat restriction processes, including performance calculations and probabilistic modeling for Monte Carlo analyses
- Collaborate with senior team members to define requirements and develop architecture for corporate performance data, assisting with database creation and analysis tasks
- Help implement fuel forecasting models and participate in monthly burn rate reviews, analyzing operational changes to optimize fuel efficiency
- Support the maintenance of aircraft weight and balance records, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance (FAA-Approved Weight & Balance Control Manual)
- Monitor real-time system performance, identifying issues and assisting in the development of solutions to improve operational efficiency
- Coordinate performance data for the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL), ensuring consistency with operational standards
- Assist in project management efforts, including timeline coordination, resource allocation, and task tracking for engineering projects and process improvements
- Support inter-departmental training and development, coordinating sessions on aircraft performance for flight crews, dispatchers, and other personnel
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to aircraft performance, weight & balance, and operational support, providing timely and accurate responses
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 5 years of experience in aircraft performance or weight & balance engineering
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience with Airbus and Boeing performance programs preferred
- Knowledge of jet aircraft performance, navigation and/or weight and balance
- Experience with database and programming software preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software and knowledge of FORTRAN, Visual Basic, C#, SQL, .NET, SAS, Java, MS Office, Python and XML/HTML preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate operational topics to other employees as well as with manufacturing representatives
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, shift priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
