AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking an experienced HPC Software Engineer, Splunk, Level 3, with several positions focused specifically on Splunk development. In this role, you'll design, develop, test, and maintain complex software systems in high-performance computing (HPC) environments. A strong background in mathematics and/or computer hardware is essential to understand the intricacies of HPC architectures and large-scale data processing.

In this position, you will support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area, you'll work both independently and within teams to deliver high-performance solutions involving data analytics, algorithm development, and real-time systems. Experience with configuration management tools, web services, and modern development methodologies is required.

Mission: As an HPC Software Engineer on this government program, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of complex and diverse software systems in a high-performance computing (HPC) environment. You'll work individually or as part of a team to support mission-critical systems involving processing-intensive analytics, large-scale data manipulation, real-time operations, and sophisticated algorithm development.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Math, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution, plus five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and document advanced software solutions for HPC systems.
  • Utilize a strong foundation in mathematics and/or computer hardware to optimize HPC architectures.
  • Engage in novel algorithm development and the manipulation of extremely large data sets.
  • Implement and monitor systems incorporating data repositories, transport services, and application development.
  • Analyze requirements and provide input to software design, including hardware/software trade-offs and reuse strategies.
  • Leverage Open-Source Software (OSS), Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) solutions where appropriate.
  • Conduct software reviews and tests to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Resolve software problem reports and continuously enhance system performance.
  • Apply configuration management (CM) practices and implement web services as needed.


Mandatory Requirements:
  • Strong expertise in IAM technologies such as SSO, 2FA, MFA, PAM, and ICAM.
  • Hands-on experience with installing, configuring, and administering ICAM solutions (Centrify, ADFS, Okta, Ping Identity, SailPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to solve complex technical challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.


Education and Required Qualification

  • Master's degree in Math, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution, plus five (5) years of relevant experience.

OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution, plus seven (7) years of experience in similar scope, type, and complexity programs and contracts.

OR
  • Nine (9) years of experience in lieu of a degree, with a proven track record in programs of similar scope and complexity.


Travel
  • Less than 10% of travel may occur.
