Responsibilities

In keeping with the Pacific Central Coast Health Centers health care philosophy, the Advanced Practice Provider Lead works together with an orthopedics or trauma/ACS team to treat patients and support
trauma program. The Advanced Practice Provider Lead will participate in the care of patients in the operating room and surgery, pre-op and post-op care and on the floor. Will coordinate care with other
services and evaluate and help manage patients in the emergency room. The APP lead assisted the trauma program manager with general supervision, direction, and support of the daily operations.

Supports the trauma program manager with maintaining matrixed alignment with credentialing to support and create consistent standards across the advanced practice workforce.

Involved in staffing and scheduling arrangements. Identifies operational issues and works to resolution, escalates to leadership when required. May participate in recruitment activities including
interviewing and evaluating applicants. Facilitates onboarding and orientation of newly hired APPs. Contributes to adherence with federal and state regulations and standards. Facilitates education
or policy updates pertaining to departmental/service line APPs. Participates actively in clinical leadership activities, councils and committees.

Qualifications

2 years prior experience as an NP or PA;
Knowledge of principles and techniques;
Graduate of an accredited school with Nurse Practitioner;
Certification or Physician Assistant Certification;
Must be able to meet credentialing requirements.

Team leader, excellent communication skills & commitment to providing patient care in a team setting

Doctoral Degree encouraged

RN:CA;
RNP:CA or PA:CA;
DEA:CA
