The Heterogeneous Integrating Group (HIG) is a division within the Technology and Products Group (TPG). We are developing High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) solutions for AI and ML applications. Using TSV (Through Silicon Via), we stack multiple DRAM chips on a high-speed memory controller with an integrated logic chip in one package, significantly increasing memory density and bandwidth through parallelization. Our ultimate goal is to deliver the lowest power per bit solutions in the industry.
We are hiring Foundry PDK Enablement Engineer! You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the development, validation, and deployment of Process Design Kits (PDKs) in collaboration with external foundry partners. This role involves close coordination with design teams, foundry partners, and EDA tool vendors to ensure that PDKs meet the highest standards of accuracy, usability, and performance.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$137,000.00 - $233,000.00
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. We are hiring Foundry PDK Enablement Engineer! You will be responsible for overseeing and driving the development, validation, and deployment of Process Design Kits (PDKs) in collaboration with external foundry partners. This role involves close coordination with design teams, foundry partners, and EDA tool vendors to ensure that PDKs meet the highest standards of accuracy, usability, and performance.
Responsibilities but not limited do:
- Manage PDK enablement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project milestones.
- Ensure PDKs are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with foundry process capabilities
- Validate PDKs through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
- Custom flow evaluation for PDK health evaluation.
- Participate in std cell characterization activities digital flow evaluation post design environment set up.
- Collaborate with EDA partners and tool vendors to integrate PDKs seamlessly into design workflows
- Communicate effectively with internal design teams and EDA partners to gather feedback and address issues related to PDK usage through timely feedback from Foundry service providers
- Participate in DTCO activities within interface team
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to achieve project goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PDK features and usability
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in semiconductor technology to incorporate best practices into PDK development
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related equivalent field.
- 3+ years of experience in PDK development, design enablement, or related areas is a plus.
- 3+ years of proven experience working with EDA tools and flows.
- Proficiency in Scripting languages such as Python/Perl/Shell etc.
- Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with the fundamental concepts associated with parasitic extraction, physical verification, circuit simulation, and reliability verification.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related equivalent field.
- 2+ years of experience in CMOS circuit design will be a plus.
- 2 Years of experience working with TSMC's advanced FinFET nodes
- Understanding industry standards and current trends in PDK development
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and design rules
