LightFeather is seeking a Business Analyst - Azure to join our team in Washington, DC. You will support the analysis, documentation, and optimization of cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure. This role requires expertise in business process analysis, Agile methodologies, cloud governance, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, security, and project management teams to ensure Azure cloud implementations align with business needs and federal compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Business Process Analysis & Improvement: Assess existing cloud business processes and recommend optimization strategies to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Work with stakeholders, engineers, and project managers to define business and system requirements for Azure cloud initiatives.
- Azure Cloud Governance & Compliance: Assist in ensuring cloud infrastructure aligns with FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD security requirements.
- Agile & Scrum Methodology: Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business objectives.
- Stakeholder Communication & Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact between government clients, engineering teams, and leadership, ensuring clear communication of project goals.
- Data Tracking & Reporting: Utilize JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI to track project progress, manage risks, and generate reports for decision-making.
- Azure Platform Support: Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to identify business needs related to Azure DevOps, Virtual Machines, Storage, and Identity Management.
- Process Automation & Workflow Optimization: Assist in the development of automated solutions to enhance efficiency in Azure cloud provisioning and access control management.
- Training & User Adoption: Support Azure cloud training initiatives for end-users, ensuring proper understanding and adoption of cloud services.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks, compliance issues, and technical challenges, providing mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- US Citizenship.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or IT project support, with at least 2+ years supporting Azure cloud environments.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or other relevant Azure certifications preferred.
- Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies to manage technical projects.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) for cloud security.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and reporting dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Strong ability to work with technical teams, executives, and government agencies to align business needs with cloud capabilities.
- Must be able to work on-site (5 days/week) in Washington, DC.
Preferred:
- Experience working with federal agencies or government cloud projects.
- Knowledge of Azure Identity Management (Active Directory, Role-Based Access Control - RBAC).
- Experience supporting Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline tracking.
- Familiarity with cloud cost management tools (Azure Cost Management, FinOps principles).
