Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role involves managing complex manufacturing processes and documentation, including tooling selection, work-holding, machining and finishing processes, work instructions, control plans, and more. The ideal candidate will create custom tooling and fixtures to support the prototype manufacturing and qualification cycle, understand and apply GD&T, use precision inspection and validation instruments, and manage resources to maximize throughput and meet schedules. The Manufacturing Engineer will also pursue and apply the latest manufacturing processes, coordinate and manage project schedules, participate in product development and design review meetings, and collaborate with a team to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Additionally, the role involves applying problem-solving techniques to develop solutions and drive reliability.
Responsibilities
This role requires onsite work at our Cranbury location, where there are 30 people on site. The manufacturing engineer team currently includes three junior engineers and one more starting in May. The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, providing a balanced work-life arrangement.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $64.90/hr.

Responsibilities
- Select tooling, work-holding, machining and finishing processes, work instructions, and control plans
- Create custom tooling and fixtures to support the prototype manufacturing and qualification cycle
- Understand and apply GD&T
- Use precision inspection and validation instruments such as optical comparators, micrometers, and standard measurement test equipment
- Manage resources to maximize throughput and meet schedule
- Pursue and apply the latest manufacturing and industry-related processes
- Coordinate and manage project schedules
- Participate in periodic product development and design review meetings
- Collaborate with a team to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information
- Apply problem-solving techniques, such as root-cause analysis, to develop solutions and drive reliability
- 5-axis CNC machining
- Tooling and fixture design
- Programming CNC
- Manufacturing engineering
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field or 10 years of experience as a tooling manufacturing engineer
- Experience working in the medical device or aerospace and defense industry
- 10+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience with CNCs
