Job Description
This general contracting company specializes in commercial, excavating, and utility projects. We are looking for a full-time Project Manager/Estimator with experience in water, sewer, storm, and earthwork estimating. The ideal candidate should have project management experience or a strong interest in growing into a Project Manager/Estimator role. The position involves general management of several projects as well as estimating.
Responsibilities
The team consists of about 26 people, including one other estimator. The company has a small, tight-knit culture where colleagues often socialize outside of work. It is veteran-owned and operated, and everyone is treated with respect. The work environment is office-based, requiring five days a week with an expectation of working 50-60 hours per week. The company offers full benefits, a company credit card, and a gas card. Employees receive one week of PTO after the first year and two weeks after the second year, with holiday pay for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Job Description

Responsibilities
- General management of multiple projects
- Estimating and creating proposals for projects
- Bidding on projects and managing the bidding process
- Using estimating software for earthworks and civil engineering projects
- Managing construction projects, including submittals, RFIs, schedules, shop drawing requests, change orders, correspondence, and project close-out
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Prioritizing and multi-tasking effectively
- Attending on-site meetings and job walks
- Utilizing Microsoft Office and document-sharing programs such as Dropbox
- Experience in civil estimating, particularly water, sewer, storm, and earthwork estimating
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher)
- Experience with estimating software such as B2Win and Ground Rules, Pay Dirt, or Entek
- Ability to read blueprints
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
- Computer literacy
- Experience supporting commercial and industrial projects
- Ability to estimate around $10M a month with a success rate of securing 1/10 bids
