MIPPS is looking for a Health Informaticist who will be responsible for supporting DHA Health Informatics through the implementation, alignment, and sustainment of functional requirements, business process reengineering (BPR), clinical content standardization, and workflow standardization, across the MHS enterprise-wide in support of DOD's Electronic Health Record (EHR), MHS GENESIS (configured Cerner Millennium). Looking for a candidate with fluency in Cerner CORE functionality. This is a remote postion with minimal travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oracle Health CORE consultant with expert skill in Oracle Health foundational tools including Org/Location, Personnel, and Position Security.
- EHR issue resolution and optimization experience to include workflow assessment; system design; data collection (DCW); system configuration; testing and validation; integration to third-party platforms across production and non-production domains.
- Possess a broad understanding of the clinical/business workflows and human factors/usability standards of the current and emerging systems utilized in the organization.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/Electronic Dental Record (EDR) systems and relevant supporting HIT systems.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Cerner Millennium and/or MHS GENESIS in one or more solution areas.
- Experience and fluency in Cerner CORE functionality
- Demonstrated clinical informatics experience with the DOD or commercial healthcare system.
- Ability to handle demanding situations with clarity, focus and professionalism, and to respond quickly to taskers.
- Preferred to have experience with configuration/build of Cerner Millennium backend.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Has the knowledge, skills, and proficiency to understand the purpose, features, functions, benefits, and limitations of our clinical information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and integrate key organizational factors, including political, economic, social, technological, and administrative, to drive performance improvements, business objectives, and overarching MHS Enterprise Informatics Strategy.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to confer with senior management using industry expertise to define the client's strategic information technology business goals.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to assist client in developing strategies and concepts.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to advise clients on the impact of new legislation or new technologies that are relevant to their activity.
- Possess the ability to apply interpersonal skills, knowledge in the areas of End User (EU) expectation management, clinical workflows, and clinical process improvements methodologies.
- Ability to manage deadlines and recurring deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 + years of Health Informatics experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree, equivalent, or higher in Informatics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related clinical/medical/business discipline (recommended)
- Experience with configuration/build of Cerner Millennium backend (preferred).
- Experience with workflow for Cerner Millennium, senior level experience.
- Experience with resolving tickets (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to excel both independently and as a team member in a lively, collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Have excellent knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office Products and related applications.
- PMP Certification preferred.
