JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Technical Services Director, the IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the park's information technology systems, including infrastructure, networking, surveillance systems, and Wi-Fi. This role ensures the smooth and secure operation of technology systems that support both park operations and the guest experience.

The IT Manager will manage, coordinate, and oversee the daily functions of the Information Technology team and projects for the company, ensuring competent, timely and effective results. Provides IT team leadership, ensuring the highest level of integrity, accountability, and guest service. Ensures that effective communication and relationships between nontechnical and technical staff at all levels are maintained. Works with Entertainment Technology Manager and Revenue Systems Manager to manage shop operations, schedules, and issues.

UNIQUE JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess, or be able to quickly ascertain, by virtue of background and experience, a general understanding of the scope of technical services department responsibilities. Must be a team-oriented manager with a strong technology background in Retail/hospitality systems, Communications, information and networking systems preferably in an entertainment environment. Must be capable of tracking progress, supervising technical staff, and managing the technical components of various systems. Must possess considerable ability to interpret technical procedures to company nontechnical staff and management, technical staff, and vendors. Must be able to work varied shifts. Carries a cell phone and a radio. Must be able to provide consistent, friendly and helpful service to employees and guests. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

JOB TASKS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
Collaboratively organize, schedule and coordinate the Information Technology team in response to current company technical needs.
Manage and maintain Company IT infrastructure including but not limited to: Cybersecurity, Office Systems, Security Technology (Cameras and Physical Access Control), Network Infrastructure, Management of MDF and IDFs
Ensure all systems and troubleshooting procedures are documented and all IT staff have cross training for emergency support.
Working with Systems Administrator, oversee backup and disaster recovery systems and cross training in recovery procedures for all critical infrastructure, systems and staff.
Act as project manager for IT, communicating with stakeholders, preparing estimates, ensuring adherence to timelines, and initiating corrective actions if needed.
Understand the responsibilities of all parties involved in current technical support projects including company operations staff, management, project team, vendors and others affected by the project.
Plan, estimate, oversee and document all aspects of the specific tasks being worked on.
Work closely with the department director and company management to make sure that the scope and direction of technical support is on schedule, and updating other department staff of necessary adjustments.
Maintains effective working relationships with nontechnical company management, staff and project team members.
Enforce work place rules and safety procedures.
Must be an excellent communicator of technical information to nontechnical operations staff and seek continuous improvement in this regard.
At the direction of department director, work with company staff when intervention is needed to answer questions, resolve issues, troubleshoot problems, and research to find the causes of problems regarding work in progress.
Recommend actions to ensure the highest quality of technical support to company operations.
Support the department director in acquiring future new staff talent when warranted.
Identify technical staff training needs and develop and maintain training documents, procedures, and policies.
Identify company end user training needs and oversee training solutions and initiatives.
Oversee installation of approved technical systems and upgrades to existing systems in consultation with technical department director.
Manage the systems for project development and work request tracking.
Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and third-party consultants.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
Participate in budget planning and monitor IT spending to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Other duties as assigned.

Equipment vendors, service providers, contractors and licensing agencies.

Qualifications: TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science-Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience). Five years of IT experience, managing the implementation and support of technology systems, programs, and projects, with at least two years of management or supervisory experience. Work experience must demonstrate increasingly progressive supervisory duties and responsibilities. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of network architecture, systems administration, and cybersecurity practices.
Excellent problem solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Knowledge of the management, implementation and support of technology systems, programs and projects.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and training and be able to train, evaluate, coach, and motivate technical staff.
Knowledge of supervision, staffing, project management, general management practice, and process improvement.
Ability to manage, implement, and support technology systems, programs and projects.
Ability to be a team-oriented manager with a strong and well-rounded base of technology experience.
Ability to track program and project expenses against established budgets.
Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel effectively.
Ability to work effectively with company vendors to integrate new or maintenance work that is compatible with existing technical systems.
Ability to recommend long term planning strategies to best support company operations.
Ability to champion teamwork, coordinate and facilitate work among various departments.
Ability to prioritize department support requirements in coordination with department director. Ability to implement and enforce policies, systems, procedures and guides.
Ability to act firmly, fairly and proactive in making decisions which ensure the smooth operation of the department consistent with company's goals.
Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance)
Able to climb scaffolding up to 25 feet.
Able to climb in small dark tight spaces.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to see, read, and interpret documents.
Able to hear normal conversations over the telephone and in person.
Bi-manual dexterity.

LICENSES AND INSURANCE:

Possess and maintain a valid California U.S. Driver's License at the time of hire. Required to maintain automobile liability coverage with a minimum of $15,000.00 bodily injury one person/$30,000.00 bodily injury total accident/$5,000.00 property damage coverage per California's minimum liability insurance requirements. (Required if the employee will at anytime use own vehicle to perform company business functions)
