THE ROLE:The Digital Chamber seeks a mission-driven, strategic, and hands-on Senior Manager of Communications & Public Relations to lead all aspects of our media and public affairs work.
This is a unique opportunity for a communications leader who thrives in policy-centric environments and is passionate about the future of technology. You will shape the voice of our organization, manage media relations, and build powerful narratives that advance the industry and amplify our work on Capitol Hill and beyond.
You'll work closely with our executive team, policy leads, and marketing staff to ensure our message is consistent, compelling, and aligned with our mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and execute a proactive communications strategy that elevates The Digital Chamber's voice and mission across media, government, and the public Own all media relations and cultivate relationships with top reporters covering crypto, fintech, policy, and regulation Draft and edit core communications including press releases, statements, op-eds, talking points, speeches, and blog posts Coordinate and prepare spokespeople for interviews, panels, and public appearances Manage inbound media inquiries and act as a responsive, informed point of contact for journalists Collaborate across teams to integrate communications into advocacy campaigns, policy rollouts, and member initiatives Support crisis communications and rapid response when industry news or regulatory developments arise Maintain a media monitoring process to track sentiment, mentions, and trends impacting our mission
QUALIFICATIONS:
6-10 years of experience in communications, PR, or media, preferably in public affairs, government, tech, or nonprofit advocacy Proven success in placing stories and cultivating strong media relationships Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, accessible messaging Deep understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape, or a fast learner passionate about impact work Experience advising executives and navigating media opportunities at a senior level Highly collaborative, organized, and comfortable working across teams in a dynamic environment Familiarity with the digital asset or fintech space a plus
