Role: Enterprise Applications Business Analyst

Location:Twin Cities Area (preferred), Hybrid in Eden Prairie (couple days/week) with some travel (up to 25% travel) to plant locations- Rochester, MN; Watertown, SD; Greenville, TN. Travel paid- mileage or rental car (or flight for Greenville). Must be able to drive themselves for travel

Salary:$120,000 - $130,000 annually, pluspotential for rewards up to $5K/year

As the Business Analyst for Oracle Systems, you will serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and the Oracle Systems Engineering team at the client. This role is essential for translating complex business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring that Oracle EBS, ASCP, SCM, and other integrated systems address real business needs across manufacturing locations. You will collaborate closely with the Oracle Systems Engineer to design solutions that optimize business processes while maintaining system integrity. Your expertise in business process mapping, requirements gathering, and user advocacy will be instrumental in driving successful Oracle implementations and enhancements that deliver tangible business value while supporting the client's growth and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units and the Oracle Systems Team, facilitating clear communication of needs, priorities, and technical solutions.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across finance, operations, and manufacturing to document business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Create detailed process maps, use cases, and user stories to document current and future state business processes supported by Oracle systems.
  • Partner with the Oracle Systems Engineer to evaluate the technical feasibility of business requirements and develop appropriate solutions within the Oracle ecosystem.
  • Develop test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure Oracle implementations meet business requirements.
  • Document and maintain business process documentation, configuration guidelines, and standard operating procedures for Oracle applications.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend Oracle-based solutions to increase efficiency, data accuracy, and user satisfaction.
  • Support change management initiatives by developing communication plans, training materials, and conducting end-user training sessions.
  • Monitor post-implementation performance and gather user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Oracle EBS modules and functionality to effectively consult with business users on system capabilities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting business process issues by working with the Oracle Systems Engineer to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Participate in project planning activities to ensure resource alignment, timeline development, and risk assessment for Oracle initiatives.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Self-starter with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into system requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and business concepts to technical teams.
  • Experience with business process analysis, process mapping, and requirements documentation techniques.
  • Proficient in Oracle EBS modules, particularly financials and manufacturing applications, and ASCP.
  • Working knowledge of data flow between Oracle modules and integrated systems.
  • Experience with SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Strong facilitation skills for requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder meetings.
  • Excellent documentation skills for creating clear, concise process flows and specifications.
  • Change management and training expertise to support user adoption.
  • Project management capabilities to coordinate cross-functional implementation activities.
  • Problem-solving orientation with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent related work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle EBS and ASCP.
  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing and financial business processes.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements for system implementations.
  • Experience with business process reengineering and improvement methodologies.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, IIBA, or Oracle functional certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER:

  • Work Hours/Status:Full Time, Salary-Exempt, 40+ hours per week, Monday Friday.
  • Travel Requirements:35-40% Domestic Travel to manufacturing locations.
