About the Role & Program
Our team creates visual insights of synthesized intelligence for many facets of Corporate Technology operations and activities.
You will work closely with Data Engineers, AI Engineers, and Visualization Analysts to develop a first-of-its-kind, consolidated platform that illustrates operational intelligence through historical and real-time views.
If selected, you will report to the Senior Manager for Operations Performance and Analytics.
The dates of this internship are May/June through August/September.

What You Will Do
In this role your work will directly contribute to delivering actionable insights that transform operational services and optimize the way we support the technology landscape of The Walt Disney Company.
You will:
- Design and develop an engaging and user-friendly, web interface for real-time and historical analytics, with basic user personalization features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Prototype and iterate on feature concepts, transforming intricate designs and wireframes into high-quality, reusable, and efficient code.
- Partner with data science team members to translate complex datasets and algorithms into user-friendly, visualizations and applications.
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use, ensuring consistent design, streamlined development, and top-tier performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers.
- Update and maintain comprehensive documentation for all features in development.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Basic understanding of and proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with modern frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Experience with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Passion for user-centered design and improving user experiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
- Strong eye for modern, clean, intuitive, and well-organized web design.
- Understanding of contrast, readability, typography, and color theory/psychology and ability to leverage their core concepts in a data-heavy interface.
- Ability to enhance user experience with smooth transitions, hover effects, and other such animations and micro interactions.
- Familiarity with WCAG standards for accessibility and inclusivity.
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, UI/UX Design, Web Development, or a related field.
- Major or previous coursework in Software/Web Development, UI/UX Design, or related major preferred.
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization

- Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
