Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for an Manager Mission Assurance 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
Essential Functions:
Manages the Supplier Assurance department that is responsible for Procurement supplier quality as well as Quality Field Engineers and Operations. Has additional oversight of Receiving Inspection and its processes. Drives the organization in their performance of process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Interfaces directly with programs and must be knowledgeable in, and capable of, assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures. Trains, coaches, and mentors Program Procurement Mission Assurance Engineering personnel, Quality Field Engineers, and Quality Operations staff. Facilitates the development and maintenance of actionable common program supplier assurance metrics. Supports Program Preventive and Corrective Action Boards (PCAB), Subcontractor Failure Review Boards, Approved Supplier List, and other programmatic / functional management meetings and/or events as required in support of the Mission Assurance Organization and your department. Identifies and drives the implementation of process improvements and affordability projects. Utilizes a broad understanding of program operations to lead multifunctional teams during root cause and corrective action investigations. Facilitates the development of common Supplier Assurance processes across programs. Coordinates with Business Unit Mission Assurance Directorate to assure personnel growth through cross training, stretch assignments, and exposure to Program and Functional leadership. Supports proposal development and assure forecasts are captured in the Mission Assurance staffing plans.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $170,000.00 - $255,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Bachelors degree required with a minimum of ten years relevant work experience OR Masters degree with eight years relevant work experience
- Seven years' related experience in quality, industrial, manufacturing or engineering.
- Must have prior experience in a functional management role.
- Must be able to obtain and be able to maintain a Top Secret and SCI clearance.
- Must be willing to travel ~10% of time

- Bachelors degree in STEM field with a minimum of ten years relevant work experience OR Masters degree in STEM field with eight years relevant work experience
- MS/MBA/PhD
- Experience in creating and maintaining useable, actionable metrics to drive department decisions and processes
- Previous Supply Chain and/or Supply Chain Quality operations
