Our team is looking for an MRO Test Engineer to join them. You will report to the MRO Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work structure in Miramar, FL.

To be considered for the MRO Test Engineer opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Avionics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in avionics maintenance (e.g., A&P License, FCC GROL, IPC, or similar) are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in avionics engineering, preferably within an MRO facility.
  • Hands-on experience with avionics test equipment, including Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, signal generators, RF analyzers, and similar tools.
  • Strong background in diagnosing and repairing electronic and electromechanical test systems.
  • Experience with hardware and software integration for avionics test applications.
  • Proficiency in schematics reading, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of avionics communication systems, navigation systems, and flight control electronics.
  • Familiarity with software programming for test automation (LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, etc.) is a plus.
  • Understanding of aircraft maintenance regulations (FAA Part 145, EASA Part 145, etc.).


As an MRO Test Engineer, you will:
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on avionics test equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and documentation for test equipment.
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Design and oversee the manufacturing of new or customized avionics test equipment to support MRO operations.
  • Modify and upgrade existing test equipment to meet evolving aircraft system requirements and regulatory changes.
  • Work closely with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to improve test equipment design and functionality.
  • Provide technical support to MRO personnel regarding the proper use and troubleshooting of test equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulatory standards (FAA, EASA, ICAO, etc.) and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, modifications, and calibrations in accordance with aviation maintenance documentation standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to test equipment and MRO procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies to optimize test equipment performance.
  • Stay updated with emerging avionics technologies and integrate advancements into MRO operations.

Salary Range:
  • $97,000 - $107,000 per year, based on experience
