A Day in the Life
The Director, Lung Health US Commercial Leader will drive the overall success and growth of our U.S. Lung Health business. This individual is accountable for expanding the US customer base through capital sales while driving disposable growth in existing accounts and overall attainment of revenue goals.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of effective leadership involving large-scale cross-functional teams, strong business and financial acumen, a demonstrated ability to understand new technologies, and the ability to navigate complex challenges and influence stakeholders of all levels. Experience in building strategic plans and executing to specific metrics on time and in full is a must.

Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive U.S. Lung Health commercial strategy
  • Provide strategic guidance to U.S. business leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure organizational alignment and efficiency
  • Independently develop and share insights to help position the business for success.
  • Ensure sales strategies are aligned to business unit strategies and that support to the field is in place
  • Establish short- and long-term objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success.
  • Provide strategy and direction for ongoing market and business development, marketing plan implementation, new product introductions, sales training, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development, and customer engagement strategies
  • Proactively assess and mitigate business risks and develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and disruptions


Financial Management:
  • Lead AOP and Strategic Planning to define operational goals and objectives
  • Partner with Global Marketing to support our Integrated Business Plan (IBP), leading sales forecasting and inventory distribution strategy for the U.S.
  • Lead business reviews and other periodic reporting to Leadership


Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as a key conduit between the business unit (GM, Marketing, Finance), Global Marketing team, U.S. field organization, Sales Training, Medical Education, Enterprise groups, and other commercial and cross-functional organizations.
  • Maintain relationships with select U.S. Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) to understand customer needs.
  • Lead strategic initiatives among cross-functional groups/ businesses and regional partners.


Communication:
  • Effectively communicate the Lung Health vision and strategic objectives to stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Foster transparent communication channels within the organization to enhance teamwork and collaboration.


Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of sales experience which includes 8+ years of experience leading teams and / or managing the execution of programs and processes in a sales, marketing, or technical role. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams and drive change without authority.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with a track record of successful business development.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated success in driving organizational change and achieving business objectives.
  • Experienced in developing strategic business and marketing plans.
  • Ability to summarize complex strategies and data in a clear and concise manner.


Nice to Have
  • 3+ years of digital and software sales experience.
  • Experience in financial modeling including the ability to perform sensitivity analyses and critically interpret the results.
  • Strong understanding of market research techniques and ability to draw conclusions from the data.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$205,000.00 - $205,000.00

This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others.

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
